ZAWADI ASHA HAS ARRIVED!!!!!!!
I couldnt wait till next year to tell you about my wonderful little girl. When she arrived, after having 20 minutes without me just to give her time to know where her food and litter tray were, we were introduced. Wow!! she is the most beautiful babe. However, I knew that I must not just accept her into my home, cos she may have taken advantage and thought I was soft, and I knew it was my job to teach her respect as I am the pack leader in this household. She had made for the leopard print igloo, which she had converted into a flat bed (I actually did the same when I was a newbie). Our eyes met, I moved towards her, slowly and with my body almost rubbing on the carpet, then I offered her my paw (well I wasnt really doing that, I actually wanted to bash her on the head to enable her to understand my house rules). However, before I had the chance to get close enough, she dared to hiss at me, as though she was the pack leader. Words fail me to describe my shock at her daring to take such action. Nevertheless, I was prepared to forgive her as she obviously was very young and had not had chance to understand that such behaviour was not to be tolerated by me. Hence, I backed off - not through fear of course, soley because I am a nice guy and am very patient!! Between me and you other Bengals out there, I rather admired her courage, and respect her for her actions. Moving on .... this is her fourth day in my paradise home, and I have to admit that I have been a bit mean. I have jumped on her and made her squeal, chased her and sat on her head, but truly, I did it to make sure that she is able to cope with being a true first class Zawadi Bengal, and guess what, she most certainly is! Since her arrival, mum and dad have given me loads of presents, loads of extra hugs, and attention. Yesterday I decided to go into sulk mode (I was fine really but it was a good act and they were flapping round me all day). I have been eating Ashas' food, and sadly it made me sick, but it just got me even more attention and she didnt get noticed as everyone especially Amy my human sister just kept cuddling me and making a fuss of me ha ha - stupid humans, they are so soft! Today, I decided to admit that I am fine, and I started my day by waking mum at 5am, I invited Asha to join me, and together we played with all our new toys and had loads of fun. I am so happy that Asha and I are together. I have not introduced her to my dogs yet, but she has seen Gizzy peering up at her from the staircase, and didn't seem too bothered. Mum said we have to let her meet my dogs in her own time. Dont think this will be a problem as I have trained my dogs, and I think that once she sees how I handle them, then she will be fine - Bengal Power!!! When they meet, I shall of course update you. Dont forget to double click on the photo to see Asha The Fearless !!!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL - 4 DAYS TO GO!!!
Just four days left till Asha arrives. Apparently the human wrinkleys are staying for a bit of a 'jolly' at the Zawadi household, before they bring her home. I of course, was invited, but hate travelling, and hence they will just have to manage without me. That's okay though cos Amy and I will have a good time here, breaking all the rules!!! I would like to say that it is unlikely, due to all my festive commitments that I shall be able to write again until after Asha has arrived. I would therefore like to wish all my readers a Very Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year. Will continue with my saga in the new year. Take care all you Bengals, and enjoy your Crimbo activities, hope you all get what you have asked Santa for. Speak to you again, next year 2008. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I AM GOING TO BE AN UNCLE OF POSH PUPPIES!!!

With 7 days to go until Asha arrives, I have just discovered that I am going to be an uncle. Apparently, Gizzys' mum is having a litter of German Shephard pups, and being as Gizzy is my big sister,(even though she is a dog) then that makes me a very important close relative - an Uncle in fact!! Well they can count me out for getting up in the night, I have my reputation to think of, but I have to admit it is really exciting cos I am sure they will be quite cute, with an excellent pedigree, but then that is just my opinion. Hence, I thought you might like to see a picture of Gizzys' mum, her name is Kaisha. Her human mum is Tania and she lives in Kent. It would appear these pups are due in the middle of January and if you would like to learn more, then click on www.kaiobiigsd.co.uk and see for yourself.

JUST 15 DAYS TO GO
15 days until Asha arrives. So glad because I could have done with her help last night when Gizzy my German Shephard decided to sleep when I wanted to play. Anyway, all you bengals out there, you would have been proud of my actions, when I jumped on her, hung on with my claws, and then bit her (not hard though). Just look at the fear in her eyes. Needless to say, eventually she surrendered and we played. Please double click to enlarge the piccy of Gizzy following my attack, it almost makes me feel sorry for her ha ha! I really think she has come to realise that she must respond to my request for a game, or else ......

JUST 16 DAYS TO GO
16 days to go now till Asha comes. Just want to tell you that last night was hilarious. Mum was trying to get a piccy of me in my Santa hat. Would I let her?? Of course not!! She was clambering over my cat tree, the couches, even tried to balance on the tall unit, but I was having none of it. Will she get the picture or will she not?? That is for me to decide.

JUST 19 DAYS TO GO
Just 19 days until Asha arrives. I helped out this morning with the Christmas wrapping. Presents all over the place and Christmas paper for me to lay on and claw ha ha. Apparently mum and dad are putting up a Christmas Tree next weekend. As this is my first Christmas, I am not quite sure what is involved here, but from what I have heard, they are putting up a tree in the hallway, and putting loads of things on it. I cant wait to see it and I am sure that I should be easily capable of jumping to the top of it or maybe I could hide inside it. As for all the things they are going to put on it, well, loads of new things for me to play with. Anyway, I will let you know how that goes later.

JUST 20 DAYS TO GO
20 days, still seems like forever. I am laying here deciding what to buy Asha for Christmas. Well ...... it will need to be something that we can share, hmmmmm.. maybe I will buy her something with feathers, I love feathers. Possibly something that we can both chase, or something to eat. Maybe I will just leave it to mum and dad to sort out because I am truly too busy enjoying myself to be bothered with going shopping. Poor mum, I jumped from the bread bin to the cooker hood this morning, but unfortunately there was nothing to grip on to, and I slid down the hood, landed on a baking tray and crashed the tray onto the kitchen floor whilst still remaining inside it. It made such a noise that Kye the dobie ran away to his bed (he is so soft). I was okay though and of course, being a Bengal, I wasn't scared one tiny bit.

JUST 21 DAYS TO GO
I cannot understand why baby Asha is playing on my mind so much. I have seen her photos, and one minute I was prepared to accept her in my pack, but now, I hate to admit it, but I actually cant wait for her to arrive. (this is confidential of course, as I am, very capable of leading my pack alone and would not want her to feel that I am so fond of her!). Dont get me wrong, mum and dad are good fun, and I have great times with them, also my two dogs, but it will just be so good to have another Bengal around to discuss Bengal things with which dogs and humans wouldn't have a clue about. For example, during the evening when I have my mad two hours .. providing Asha plays by my rules, then we can have great fun. At the moment, at sleep time, I have to wake mum early morning by bashing her in the face, but with Asha, we will be able to wake them both up by taking on one each. The potential is endless ha ha!!

JUST 22 DAYS TO GO !!!
Time seems to be dragging as I await my bengal angel. I want to show her my Christmas Hat, and I also want to share her Christmas prezzies cos I will have opened all mine by the time she arrives. This picture was taken as I was sleeping and I think I may have been dreaming of Asha which is why I am falling off my cat tree. For anyone who may be concerned, I did not hurt myself, I used my wonderfull claws and dragged myself back up again, and returned to my dreams.

BACK OFF!!!!!!
MY PLACE BY THE FIRE
Now, it would appear that these doggy things claim the warmth of the fireside - I DONT THINK SO!!! In the interest and reputation of us Bengals, I have claimed this right, as can be seen. Remember, one has to claim ones right, and us Bengals are not going to be bullied. We shall rule if we decide that this is where we wish to be, and the doggy things will learn to surrender to our needs.
23 DAYS TO GO - JAWS !!!

24 DAYS TO GO
Well, having been abandoned for the weekend, I have to say that Amy and I had a grrrrrreat time. She made lots of fuss of me, spoilt me with kisses and cuddles, and although I did miss the wrinkleys, Amy ran around me like a slave and made sure that I was truly spoilt. The funny thing was, that she did not know how to work my self clean litter tray. For those of you that dont know what this is, it is a litter tray which you roll over and all my little deposits, end up in a pull out draw. Well Amy rolled it the wrong way, and I sat and watched her stupidity on mum and dads' bed. She was getting in a right mess, bless her, but eventually she worked it out and managed to take about 20 minutes to clean my tray, which would normally take about one minute!!! I heard her on the phone to the wrinkleys when they were on their way home, and apparently they were driving through terrible conditions and it was very dangerous (that'll teach 'em). When they returned I was asleep, cos I had a long night keeping Amy awake by biting her big toe and lunging my claws into her feet, to ensure she learnt that I would not go to sleep until I was ready. Poor girl, I really shouldnt have done that to her because she was so kind, but nevertheless, it was important not to be soft on her as she has to learn my Bengal Rules. When I awoke, mum was instantly in my face (trying to make up for leaving me). Well, I was not going to let her off lightly, so I had a good stretch, and jumped down and headed for the kitchen in order that she learnt that I was not impressed with her absence when she should have been here pampering me. 'Where was my Devon Cream??' I thought as I wandered accross the worktops. I know they will have bought me some .... well I think they will have. Hmmm where is it?? Can you imagine how I felt to discover that they had not brought any? Now I was really angry, it is one thing to abandon me, but to not bring back any cream, well, now they will pay BIG TIME!! At this stage, any other cat would have needed counselling but I was determined to stay strong. I strutted back into the living room and wailed at them, and mum explained that there was no cream at this time of year until another couple of weeks due to the fact that the stupid humans dont buy it until nearer Christmas. Well, that was it for me, I climbed the stairs, and sat on the top of my bedroom cat tree, staring into the darkness of the night, totally unimpressed. How dare they think that they can return without my Devonshire Cream! Anyway, bedtime came, and by this time, I had mellowed, just a little. Mum got into bed and invited me to join her and dad. I decided that I would have to forgive them, cos I just love that curled up warmness which is only achievable in their bed, but as I flew from my cat tree to their bed in one jump, I bashed mum on the head, in order that she realised she had annoyed me with her selfishness, then I settled down with them for the night and went to sleep. I will be glad when Christmas is over, cos I really cant wait to see Asha, however, that is a secret, wouldnt want her getting the wrong idea. I really cant wait to see her, nice looking girl and she is all mine!!!

KITTEN COUNTDOWN
This is the start of my kitten countdown. Our new arrival snow kitten is now coming earlier than expected. The humans are having a get together at the Zawadi household on the 27th December and mum and dad are collecting Asha on that day. Yippee, cant wait, what a shame that I am unable to give her a copy of my STEP RULES in order that she can tame the humans before even arriving at her new home.
Nevermind, I am prepared to take some time explaining and training her as she obviously is not going to have a clue without my experienced help. BLESS !
I dont feel jealous nor any bad feeling towards her at the moment. In fact I am looking forward to her playing with me out in our cat run. Thing is ... they built it for me and I refuse to be left alone, hence when they put me in there I meow so loudly that I am back indoors with them in a maximum of 5 minutes ha ha. I would probably be prepared to stay longer if she is in there playing with me, but thereagain, time will tell and that will be for me to decide.

MY NEW ZAWADI GIRL ASHA

Thought I would show you a couple of piccys of little Asha just to give you a TASTE of what is to come. Asha is a Zawadi Snow Bengal Girl, and she is going to be living with me very soon. Rumour has it that she is a little scamp and extremely good looking with a huge personality. Have to say she looks quite cute, n I love her markings, what do you think !!????She is arriving on the 2nd January when my owned humans go and collect her. She will come with her own Zawadi mouse which all Zawadi kittens receive. It is a little present from Connie and Stewart. Good job actually, cos I am not sharing mine with her!!!
CHRISTMAS WISH LIST
Christmas is coming and I thought I would make a few suggestions for you to place on your Santa List. Firstly, as you are fully aware, all us Bengals love water, that is one of many things that makes us special. Every Bengal should have its own Duck for bathing. Here is a picture of me hooking my cheeky duck out of MY bath. Apart from this very important item, I love pingpong balls but my stupid dogs keep chewing them up !! However, my trained humans have started to realise that my favourite items would be a ball of silver paper to chase, or even just a screwed up envelope. All these expensive fancy toys are in my opinion designed for humans and I simply cant be bothered to play with any of them. What do you think ?
Memories....
moving to my new home
After 13 weeks of top quality pampering, I decided that I would agree to adopt a pair of humans from a place called Sussex. Being an intelligent moggy, I knew that it would take me little or no time to ensure that I would continue to live in the luxury style to which I had become accustomed, and of course deserve. It was simple, I just had to train my new humans that I would NEVER be fobbed off with second best.
Hence my journey began, and for any of you bengals out there that are a bit nieve, this is what I wold suggest you do when starting your journey to your new home.
STEP 1 When placed in your cat carrier ready for the journey ahead - enter calmly (as if you are the most well mannered kitten in the universe)
STEP 2 About 15 minutes from the start of your journey to your new world, start to meow (not too loudly, just enough to worry the humans) At this stage mine stopped within three minutes and dashed to pacify me.
STEP 3 Appear to be satisfied with their concerns following a huge big fuss and then lay down, in your carrier, head facing towards them with that (poor little me look). It gets them every time ha ha.
By now you have passed the I own my humans test and from now on, YOU will be the one in charge.
I then decided that I was quite exhausted from my acting, and it was time for a sleep. So I curled up and allowed them peace and quiet for the duration of our journey.
Upon my arrival, I was escorted to my humans bedroom, where I found food and water and the same cat litter which I had been used to. Hmmm they are obviously trying very hard to 'help me adjust'. I was then left to have some chill out time for which I was grateful as it had been a long journey and I really was not in the mood to start exploring straight away.
Anyway, long story short, I awoke and decided to go walkabouts. I made my way down the stairs, turned the corner and ......What on earth was that ??? (thought I as I wandered cautiously down the stairs).
It was much larger than me, had a huge hairy body, big ears and a great big mouth ................ No, it was not the big bad wolf, but hey .... I had never seen anything like this before and yet I could not show fear as I had my Bengal reputation to think about. Hence, I decided to go down a different passage. Well .... unbelieveable cos what did I see - another huge animal, not at all like me, but without a tail and very tall. It glared at me and I decided that this was just too much for my first day and retreated to the bedroom.
That night I guess I have to admit it seemed strange without my brothers and sisters and mum, but there again, my new humans gave me loads of love and strokes and I nearly choked on all the purring I was doing. Then, the female human whom I had then learnt was called Maggie, scooped me up in her arms and snuggled me into their bed. The male human called Steve, gave me my little mouse nip toy that my Swindon home had given me, and we all curled up for the night and went to sleep.
Tomorrow, I thought, I will discover more about those big creatures that live downstairs. After all, they have to learn respect if they wish to continue living in my house.
who are these hairy creatures with big ears???
Here I am, next day, off to explore those two big ugly things that glared at me. Mum Maggie has carried me cautiously into the kitchen where these two beasts appear to live. Dad Steve is pretending to be calm as he awaits in anticipation to see the outcome of this meeting. Me, well, I decided to leap on the worktops cos they would then be beneath me (which is of course where they belong). They approached and I spat and bashed the furry one with my paw extended on her head. She stepped back, and I waited to see what was to follow. Then these two huge great dishes appeared with food in and a further small dish for me. All three of us were now on the kitchen floor facing our dishes and I watched as the other two got stuck in and decided that I was curious what these creatures eat. I approached the short coated one, (which i have learnt since is a doberman) and to my glee, he backed away from his dish and allowed me to savour his dog food. (hmmm another example of BENGAL POWER). Then, I moved to the hairy ones dish, (she is a German Shephard apparently). She too allowed me to try her dish of the day and we actually swapped dishes for a while, though I have to say, I find my diet a lot more appetising.
It was then that I realised I had become part of the dog pack, total acceptance, and from now on I would totally run the whole household at just 13 weeks old. Not bad eh?
We have become great friends and I exercise my dogs daily by setting them chores like, games of cops and robbers, (which of course I win each time as they are totally incapable of jumping to safety on the worktops) They are also useless when it comes to climbing up my cat trees. Poor feeble creatures, however, I am very patient with them and do my best to look after them every single day.

MY TWO DOG FRIENDS
BED TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just take a look at this bed. What on earth were my humans thinking. They spent loads on this and I am expected to sleep on it. Well.... I dont think so. I prefer my place in the middle of their bed and I am staying put. I wonder if Asha would like it. Hmmmm. time will tell, and I will let you know but as far as I am concerned, as you can see from the picture, I am out of there. When will humans realise, we are the Rulers of the Earth, and to expect me to sleep on this pile of whatever ... I dont think so.
